Poissy Triathlon

The Poissy triathlon club was created in 1984 in the French cradle of triathlon. It is indeed in Poissy that the triathlon was born but in a more “archaic” form then called “Course des Débrouillards”. Triathlon in its modern form (sequence of the 3 disciplines of swimming, cycling and running) appeared with the organization of the first Ironman.

Since the early years, Poissy triathlon has been one of the leading clubs in the discipline and the one which has undoubtedly the most extensive and prestigious track record, thanks to the elites and young people who make up or have made up its group.

One of the largest French workforce in terms of number of licensees, Poissy Triathlon is, moreover, the first triathlon club in France to have obtained the “Excellence” triathlon school label. Poissy Triathlon is one of only three French clubs to hold this level of certification.

Indeed, the quality of the supervising body and the infrastructures offered allow young triathletes from 6 to 20 years old to find at the club a structured learning process led by supervisors who have received specific training.
